This reproduction figural earthenware is from Samanid Period ( 819-999 ). The cutting horse ceramic plate is decorated with oxide paints with underglaze technique. It is unleaded; suitable for food. It depicts a large walking horse, the right fore leg erected, topped by a bird and surrounded by floral and stylized palm leaves.
